Our Current Projects

Our mission is to create and contribute to projects that preserve the history of the Amisk-Hughenden, Alberta area.

Amisk-Hughenden Historical Society

The Amisk-Hughenden Historical Society currently works to maintain the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hughenden, Alberta. The society would also like to restore the vintage signage on the south wall of what was R.P. Stubbs General Store, now the M2 Dance Studio in Hughenden.

One way the society funds its projects is through the sale of the history book it published in 2006 called Memories and Milestones 1905-2005. These books are available to purchase for $100 each for a two-volume set. The books cover the history of the Amisk, Hughenden, and Rosyth areas of east-central Alberta.

Memories and Milestones was published in 2006 by the Amisk-Hughenden Historical Society, and was compiled and edited with the help of many community volunteers.
