In 2006, after many hours of volunteer time, the Amisk-Hughenden Historical Society launched its two-volume history book called Memories and Milestones 1905-2005 during Hughenden’s 100th Anniversary celebration.
As Chairperson of the Amisk-Hughenden Historical Society, incorporated in 2003, I am delighted that this history book, Memories and Milestones 1905-2005, has been printed.
A wonderful thing happens when the call goes out for a history book. People start talking to each other, comparing notes, looking up old friends and neighbors and filling in the blanks of family trees. As favorite stories are told and retold, pieces of the puzzle fall into place.
